The 2019 International Vocal Opera Competition Will Be Held in Hong Kong on January 28 with a Huge Prize Money

The Fifth Asian International Vocal Festival in 2019, hosted by the International Vocal Music Federation, sponsored by the China Music Foundation and co-organized by various vocal organizations in the Asia-Pacific region, will be held at the Tai Po Civic Center in Hong Kong from January 28 to January 31, 2019.

The Asian International Vocal Festival was founded in 2010 and successfully held four sessions in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017 at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Sha Tin Heung Yee Kuk Theatre and the School of the Arts, Singapore. The event has received extensive attention and praise at home and abroad, and has attracted more than 2,800 opera actors, young singers, soloists and children singers from all over the world to participate in International Opera Contest, Chinese Folk Song Contest, International Pop Music Contest, International Vocal Contest for Juvenile and Children, Chinese Vocal Contest for the Middle-Aged and Elderly and other performances. It is the largest international vocal concert held in the Asia Pacific region with the largest scale, the highest specification and the largest number of participants.

In order to enhance international vocal art exchanges and cooperation, and to raise the level of vocal singing and education in the Asia-Pacific region, it has set up an innovative international stage for vocal music, opera performers, vocal music teachers, students and singers with singing ability all over the world. The organizing committee will invite internationally renowned vocal experts to serve as international judges. At that time, the charming Xiangjiang will attract various vocal elite to converge in Hongkong.




According to reports, the registration of the Fifth Asian International Vocal Festival in 2019 will be held on December 31, 2018. All professional and non-professional vocal lovers between the ages of 4 and 65 in the world can participate.

After the International Arts Council’s audio-visual primary election, the finalists will go to Hongkong to compete in the finals. The competitions will be held in the first, second and third places with a total prize value of 200,000. The first winners of International Opera Contest, International Pop Music Contest, Chinese Folk Song Contest will receive a prize of HK$ 20,000, HK$ 10,000 for the second and HK$ 5,000 for the third. The first winner of the International Vocal Contest for Juvenile and Children, Chinese Vocal Contest for the Middle-Aged and Elderly will receive a prize of HK$6000, HK$4000 for the second and HK$2000 for the third.

It is reported that the organizing committee specially set up international performance opportunities for young singers and opera actors. During the International Vocal Festival, institutions and individuals can apply for a solo concert in Hong Kong. At present, the registration of the Fifth Asian International Vocal Festival in 2019 has been fully started.
