Fleet management industry leader SHzoom continues to build its leadership with accomplished members to create safer, money-saving fleet management solutions.

Pittsburgh, PA – November 10, 2021 – SHzoom, the company that is revolutionizing the way the world handles auto accidents, welcomes the authoritative industry professional, Matthew Booco, to its Board. With a significant background in public sector fleet management, Booco will bring value to the team through his existing industry relationships and building on the company’s automating and repair management processes that will positively impact the efficiency, transparency and safety of client operations.

SHzoom, who holds the oldest patent on photo estimating and has more than twenty-five years of experience in automotive repairs and property and casualty claims management.  SHzoom is the originator of ‘Snap A Pic. Get a Quote,’ for minor car accidents. They have expanded their product offerings to include Uptime, a solution to help clients manage risks, maintain fleet repairs, and process claims for government fleets and self-insured organizations.

“At SHzoom, we put mastery into practice to develop innovative technology and insurance standards for government and private sector fleets,” said Ingrid Cook, SHzoom’s Founder. “We are excited to be joined by Matthew Booco, who will undoubtedly provide a fresh, ingenious perspective on the way our industry handles auto repairs.”

Matthew Booco has been a public sector fleet management professional for over ten years with experience in the municipal government space. He is currently the Executive Director of General Services at the City of Westminster, Colorado. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and has performed industry duties in roles ranging from Fleet Analyst to Executive Director. Booco received his Automotive Fleet Manager Certification from NAFA Fleet Management Association.

With his leadership in Westminster, Colorado, Booco’s organization along with Jamie Cooke’s organization in Montgomery County, Maryland were selected to pilot Uptime by SHzoom, which was a success as it increased efficiency and transparency among all stakeholders. “The Uptime system is unique because it brings internal and external stakeholders together. Uptime’s intelligent workflow automates the entire process from the initial incident to repair completion, delivery, and recovery,” said Booco.

Managing wrecks within a fleet is one of the most difficult processes to deal with; Uptime helped automate and manage the process. “I remember driving into work when I was a Fleet Manager and seeing multiple wrecked vehicles parked outside of the fleet building.  We would often wait for weeks before we would receive the incident reports that would allow us to get estimates for the repairs.  The Uptime system automated the entire process and managed the workflow from the initial incident report to the delivery of the repaired vehicle.”

Booco brings his aptitude to face some of the largest challenges in the fleet industry, such as recruitment and retention of qualified technicians. “I’m looking for ways to partner with local trade schools to get young fleet technicians interested in the public sector,” continued Booco. “We need to get creative in how we communicate the other benefits available in the public sector that may not be available in the private sector.” Booco pioneered an apprenticeship program that offers a 3-year full-time position for individuals looking to enter the field.

“I am excited to work with SHzoom’s talented team to create simple, customizable integrations into systems for fleet drivers and managers,” concluded Booco.
