The company recently finalized renovating Westin Kierland Resorts’ golf bunkers by harnessing the power of hybrid systems sourced from Zline Products. As Casey Jones, the International Operations Manager at Fusion Golf noted, this hybrid system sports an exquisite feature called SandMatch. This customizable bunker liner system gave Fusion Golf LTD a perfect tool to further refine West Kierland’s golf bunkers.
Zline Bunker Systems’ spokesperson Anthony described the hybrid liner system as “a combination of 2 liner products. Typically, a premium liner on the slopes utilized for its sand holding capabilities and a liner that is effective on areas with softer slopes and flat areas not requiring the ability to hold sand as well while still offering superior protection.”
Westin Kierland Resort is renowned for its unique course comprised of 27 Troon-managed holes. Riddled with numerous golf bunkers, some of which required some fine-tuning and updating to match todays golf game and technology, the course was already wildly popular among recreational and advanced golf players, but Westin Kierland wanted to make it even more modern and maintenance friendly.
Fusion Golf LTD’s mission was to renovate the golf bunkers through a strict timeline provided by the club allowing for complete turf recovery and grow in before the prime golfing season hits the desert community.
Fusion Golf LTD’s experts have collaborated with the Zline Products team in creating tailor-made liners that match the resort’s sand color, sand holding and protection reuirements while preserving the aesthetics of the course on a more consistent basis.
